At Mud Daddy, we take the protection of our intellectual property extremely seriously.

Mud Daddy is recognised as the world’s first portable dog washer — a product that did not simply improve an existing solution, but created an entirely new category within dog health and care. From the outset, our focus has been on solving a real problem for dog owners: cleaning muddy dogs safely, quickly, and comfortably, wherever the walk ends.

That same founding innovation now extends into the POWER+ range — the next evolution of the category we created.

Our products, technologies, and branding — including Mud Daddy®, Mud Mummy®, and the POWER+™ range — are protected internationally through registered trademarks, registered designs, and patents world wide. These protections cover both functional technology and distinctive product design, as well as our content, marketing materials, and brand assets.

We operate a zero-tolerance policy toward infringement. Any unauthorised use, reproduction, imitation, or sale of our protected designs, technology, or branding will result in immediate enforcement action.

Mud Daddy pioneered the concept of a portable dog washing system designed specifically for dog owners, dog walkers, and professionals. Before Mud Daddy, this category simply did not exist.

The POWER+ range represents the natural evolution of that innovation — designed to remove even more effort from dog washing while preserving what made Mud Daddy trusted in the first place: gentle water flow, dog comfort, and real-world usability.

POWER+ products are defined by:

  • Fully battery-powered operation

  • No manual pumping

  • One-button use

  • Reduced physical effort

  • Quiet, dog-safe performance

This evolution reinforces Mud Daddy’s position not only as the category creator, but as the category leader.

ACTIVE MONITORING & ENFORCEMENT

We actively monitor global marketplaces, websites, and advertising platforms for intellectual property violations. Where infringement is identified, we act swiftly and decisively.

Below are examples of recent successful enforcement actions:

Case 1: AliExpress

Multiple listings were identified selling counterfeit products that infringed our registered designs and trademarks, including unauthorised use of Mud Daddy imagery, product descriptions, and keywords.

Outcome:
• All infringing listings were permanently removed
• The manufacturing source received a formal legal notice
• Further violations will result in escalated legal action

Case 2: TEMU

Several copycat products were marketed using our protected designs, branding, and designs.

Outcome:
• All infringing listings were taken down
• The supplier was formally cautioned
• Repeat infringements will trigger further enforcement

Case 3: DHgate

Numerous listings were found selling unauthorised copies of Mud Daddy products in breach of our registered intellectual property rights.

Outcome:
• All listings were removed
• The factory received a formal infringement warning
• Continued violations will result in additional legal measures

Case 4: UK online seller- Repeated infringement

A competing battery-powered brush product was identified that infringed upon Mud Daddy’s intellectual property rights.

Fabricated content published with the intent to damage the brand.

Outcome:
• The infringing product was removed from sale
• The vendor discontinued the supplier responsible for the infringement

ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY

Mud Daddy will take immediate and decisive legal action against any business or individual found infringing our intellectual property.

This may include, but is not limited to:

  • Cease-and-desist notices

  • Platform takedown requests

  • Formal legal claims

  • Court proceedings

We will pursue all available legal remedies to protect our innovation, customers, and category leadership.
